Description
The construction of a Mala is intentional all the way through – from the selection of materials to the meaning given by the person wearing it.
The materials used to make Malas have natural energetic properties and hold sacred, spiritual meaning. Your custom Mala necklace is constructed with 108 beads and fastened with a guru bead. You have the option of adding a pendant, tassle, marker beads, adding knots between the beads (this lengthens the necklace), and choosing the string material and color.
Upon receiving your Mala, be sure to cleanse it and set your intention. Cleansing is done using palo santo sticks or a sage smudge stick. Set your intention by touching each bead and reciting a 3-5 phrase mantra such as “Love, peace, joy.”
Note: The Malas pictured are personal creations and include personal, meaningful pendants. If you would like to send in a personal pendant for your Mala, please indicate so when ordering.
From left to right, materials used: sandalwood beads, black cotton string, silver om guru bead, and silver budda heart pendant; black matte onyx beads, amethyst marker beads, howlite guru bead, purple cotton string, and sterling silver hamsa hand pendant.
